Default Stereo problem

hello everyone,

I got a 98 mustang

I had Sony CDX-L550X music player installed (running just fine)
but some one stole its face plate

now I replace it with AIWA CDC-MP3YU player (running fine with other car)

Problem is that there is no sound!, power comes on & cd runs but no sound!

I connected RED, YELLOW, and BLACK cables
also connected pair of Gray, White, Green, and Violet cables but no sound at all!

There are pairs of Blue & Orange, and a single light orange cable coming from car (with Red, Yellow, & Black cables) but there is no more cables from stereo side to connect them with!

All the cables coming from stereo are connected except one Blue cable, which says on stereo "BLUE -RELAY CONTROL -TO POWER ANTENNA / TO REMOTE CONTROL -FUSE 0.5A" and there is a 0.5 fuse connected to it

can anyone think of any reason why its not working

please let me know, any kind of help will be appreciated

Thank you

Are you hard wiring it or using an adapter?
All i can find about an AIWA is that they no longer exist, all their websites are shut down and have sony logos.

I think there is something with the amplifier

did you buy a new adapter? pull the adapter off the sony and put it on the new one, just color match the wires

Bypassing the factory amp is easy, just look in the dash behind the radio on the right side, you will see the stock wireing harness connected to the amp, unplug those and plug them directly into the radio.

do not have any special point into the stereo for amp
but it say on it that stereo got the amp 45X4

ps: if I turn the volume to full, able to hear very very soft noise from somewhere front sounds like tweeters.

probably similar to my car, for some reason its a bitch to integrate in with the stock amps

i gave up and took it to an audio place, and i took it out to see how they got it to work and they combined both the blues in but it looks like a resistor was put in there too. i heard combining both the blues would work but when i tried myself i popped a fuse. maybe if you went to an audio shop and explained to them they will help you out but most likely there gonna try and get your business instead
