Default 2002 V6 to Chevy small block?

Hello,

I have a stock '02 mustang with the 3.8L V6 and I can get a complete vehicle for $400 that has a 350 chevy small block in it. The bodywork is in rough shape, but I got started thinking about swapping that baby into the 'stang. I'm wondering if
A. The engine will fit
B. Will it be a prohibitive amount of work

What do you guys think?

It will fit, I know someone who did that, except he started with a GT instead of a V6. It was a ton of work getting it to work correctly.

Just FYI - depending on WHAT 350 and it's condition, the V6 might make more power.

it will fit but you should punch it out to a 383 to make it worth it

It would definitely get stroked, new heads, high comp pistons most likely, cams, exhaust, cold air intake at least.

I could do these to the 3.8 I suppose, but modding a v6 is just so unsatisfying.

After you calculate all the time and headaches that will be involved,
just go with a 4.6. Will be easier swapping the computer from a GT
than something from a GM. It's a lot more involved and not even
close to being plug and play.
