Every one has a favorite radar detector so lets hear it. Ill start it off, Valentine One for me

 

I have a cobra one, not the greatest but works for me.

 

I dont have a detector just yet but have done weeks of research on them. If you have the extra money, I would get the Valentine One. Best on the market imo.

 

Beltronics RX65

 

oops a knew i was forgetting one, how could i forget beltronics

 

So I was wanting to look into getting a radar detector but wasn't sure how reliable they are. I have always heard that the radar detectors don't pick up the cop radaring until the laser hits your car. If I bought a Valentine One or a Beltronic RX65 would that pick up the radar gun before it's too late? And will it pick it up in advance everytime? I guess I am kind of skeptical of buying one if they won't work all the time.

 

i got a Valentine One and I have never had any problem picking up the cops before they get me. in fact i usually pick the cop up at LEAST a mile ahead of me I've even picked them up on the other side of hills while there in the woods. I had a beltronics before and it gave me to many close calls within the first month so i took it back and got a valentine.

 

the rx65 is really nice i like it, picks up everything, my brother has been using it for 2 years and has never gotten a ticket, he just gave it to me. If your considering an rx65 look at the GX65 which is the RX65 but with GPS

 

I use my eyes.

 

never have had one myself seems to be a waste just drive like you have some sense
