Default question about rims

im looking to get new rims on my 2000 silver v6....either bullitts or fr500..
can anyone recomend whether i should get 17" or 18" and what size tires should go on those so there is not gap in between the tire and the body?

THanks
Hank

I believe 18s have a wider variety of tire selection. I've had trouble before finding certain tires for the 17s but never the 18s. I run 245s up front and 275s in the rear and those are the most common sizes that I've seen people running. I think it's kind of overkill to go any wider unless you're pushing big power to the wheels but thats just my input. I also see a lot of people run spacers to give the tires a little wider look. That's my 2 cents.

I suggest 18s. 17's come on the GTs and they don't look big enough to me. I am buying 18x9 cobras all the way around. I like the bullits too. I just got a better deal on the cobra's and my car has the cobra front end right now, so it may look better.
