Well, the 98's are going to have a decent response from mods, since they weren't all that powerful to begin with (compared to the 99-04's). There is a HUGE selection of mods available for these cars all over the internet (such as americanmuscle.com). You may want to start simple and get a Cold Air Intake or some custom exhaust. For a bit more money, you could get gears for your car, which will add acceleration, at the cost of making your car run a little bit higher number of RPM's. However, if you are willing to spend a TON of cash, you can get an M112 kit, or a Procharger. Better yet, if you have unlimited funds...buy a Ford GT (not a Ford Mustang GT, a Ford GT). Just saying...

If im not mistaken for him to be able to do a m112 supercharger he would first need to do a split port swap(heads, upper and lower intakes from a 99-04 v6 mustang). It would help if we knew what your willing to spend.

They will respond pretty well to mods and yes there is a big selection. If you want power, save up for a Mustang GT. Are you looking to buy soon?
