Question Throttle Body question =)

I was wondering what the stock throttle body is on a 1997 v6 Stang and if a 56mm is the biggest/best TB I could get for my car. And also if I can get a Throttle Body Spacer for my car as well and where. Thanks a lot in advance!

What other mods have to done? I mean "go" mods not "show" mods. A bigger TB is good to have when you are pushing a lot more air then when it was stock. You can get a bigger TB for your Mustang. Americanmuscle.com has then for sale.

A bigger TB is good when you have ported intakes to match..otherwise youre wasting $. A TB spacer is a waste also..it would probably hurt more than it helps. If your all stock and dont wana waste 300 on a TB then you could always get a muffler shop to fab u a true dual exhaust kit. Or save that 300 from the TB and buy a sct xcal tuner. You will enjoy the exhaust and/or tuner more than the TB.

The only other "go" mod I have right now is a CAI kit and I was looking into getting new headers (maybe) and a nice cat back exhaust. Possibly 3.73's and a tuner eventually.

If you get headers then go with longtubes by mac or pacesetter (unless you plan on turbocharging your car).

yeah, I would get long tubes, they show more performance and a "louder" sound. Thats what I'm really going for is trying to get a nice "powerful" sound lol but I know I only got a v6 I'm just trying to get it sounding nice =)

Ya since you don't have any other mods, don't buy a TB or spacer. Get an exhaust. Mac LTs, Mac O/R H pipe and Magnaflow catback. You don't have to get that setup, I only suggested that because I think that sounds best. Listen to videos on youtube to decide which exhaust sounds best to you.

If you have an auto, then I would look into getting a tuner. Automatics really respond well to a tune.

Yea the Off Road pipes sound way better but this is mostly my main car so isn't it illegal to have em on there on the street lol. And yea is an auto tranny =(( I'm definitely gonna look into a tuner. I still dont understand how exactly they add HP but I know they do.
