wouldn't mined getting the new taurus, its really nice looking and with than new engine it has to be fast. I think it was smart of Ford. They are saying look at us with our car that is econobox and look what we did to it but the car only get 18-17 mpg..-_- someone look at the rear end and tell me it does not resemble the new mustang

Pontiacs G8 is technically a 4 door sedan.. and that kicks *** as well.. who cares man, I've blown out GT Mustangs in the G8. You really shouldn't try and compare t hings just because of their looks or just because its a "family" car... Yea its faster than the mustang so what? just because its what i consider one of the 3 "all american" cars doesnt mean it should be the fastest. (the 3 being Viper-Dodge Corvette-GM Mustang-Ford). if you want to blow the Taurus out go by a Cobra or GT500 or something, if your seroiully looking for the HP then buy something built for speed not something that looks shiny..

Haha yea yea my bad guys, no i'm not considering the GT Mustang and stuff in the same category as the ZR1 or SRT's or anything, but yea i'm speaking more so of the Super Snake.
But i more so think of it not as in like speed but like whenever i ask my friends (out of country) what cars they think of when they think of the Americans, they always respond with one of those 3. occasionally a camaro or challenger or something but most always its either the Viper stang or vette.
my bad though wasn't trying to compare like performance wise, kinda retarded of me haha

to the g8 guy, just let me say i really do like g8s. idk about you but wouldnt be buying a g8 for family use, i would buy it for a kickass engine and how retarded fast it is right off the production line (GXP). i consider a g8 a sports car, with 4 doors. do you consider a lancer evo or a subaru WRX STI a family car or sports car? sure it could be used for family use but its a sports car. the SHO is kinda like that i guess, its got a ton of power, i think it runs 13s in the 1/4, but its a boat, i dont think it would handle well at all..

Not to mention people that buy a mustang are buying it for the look/image. They will not be cross shopping a Taurus. And, you're talking about the Taurus SHO (a $40K+ car) not the run of the mill Taurus. Base mustang or even a GT is between 22-35K
