Restrictor screen

I just got a cold air intake would it hurt to leave out the restrictor screen that is in front of the mafs. the system doesnt seem to be made for it to fit in there

No it will not hurt it. It will very very very slightly increase airflow without it.

Just hope nothing gets past your fitler, that screen helps the engine not suck anything into the MAF and/or upper intake.
