Default need help

so im new to the mustang world (long time fan, first time owner). i've been reading magazines talking to people just getting ideas here and there. more or less what to do what not to do. the first thing i wanna do is the exhaust. now im not an expert, most of you guys could school me, but as of right now i have purchased both mufflers, flowmaster, im looking for headers and a H pipe, looking at mac ceramic coated long tube, with a mac catted h pipe. the next thing i was suggested was cam the car. now i have a relitive idea of what all that includes but not 100% on it. right now the issue im having is that i have a 3.9 and im not sure what if any parts off a 3.8 i could use as far as bolt ons and things like that. for example i wanna slowly start stocking up parts for use in my car and when i have them all ready get them installed. right now what im looking at is buying a intake manifold to get ported and save it a side for later down the road. my question is will a 2000 3.8 intake manifold bolt on to a 2004 3.9?

Yes the 3.9 and 3.8 are the same. Also you should look into getting a SCT XCAL 2 or 3 hand held tuner.....especially if your an auto..

Yea it will still help. If you get the LTs then you could use the tuner to turn off the rear o2 sensors and eliminate the CEL that they would throw due to the LTs.

Used. Less money for the same thing. Your going to get it port and polished so it doesnt matter wat it looks like or how many miles are on it.

I would look at your states emission laws before you do anything to wild. If your anything like we are in Cali your exhaust plans will change....
