Default Tune interfering with computer?

My car is throwing code P0401 when I have the performance tune installed from my sct sf3. when i set it to stock, economy, or anything but performance then the check engine light turns off and the code goes away. What could be causing this?

DO have your EGR deleted on the car? It may not be set in your performance tune.

No EGR delete.

I've had the performance tune on for about 6 months now and the light never came on, that just seems weird that the tune would be fine then one day it causes the comp to throw a code. The SES light never came on until a month ago. Whenever i switch off the performance tune it just turns off on it's own within hours.

Check the tubing running from the EGR pipe to the DPFE for any wear, damage, or cracks and possibly go ahead and clean the DPFE and EGR valve really good.
