Default need a valve job!!!

i had my car at a mechanic a couple days ago to fix an ongoing misfire on cylinder two that i ran out of things to change for and he ended up saying that my cylinders on the passenger side are running with weak or carboned up valves. he did a compression test and he said the three were like 60 something 70 something and eighty something... not in that order. he said he would redo the valves, i guess clean and change the springs for $250. not including parts. what should i do while he has it apart? i wish i could do a cam but idk what i need for it... all help would be appreciated! thanks

Now would be a good time to get some porting and polishing on the heads and intakes..contact supersixmotorsports for your cam and valve springs and what not...thats if your budget will allow it.

I would try running some seafoam through the intake first and see if that helps

i have put about 5+ cans of seafoam periodically through a couple of months and i have also ran two of the best injector cleaners i found and only a slight help for like ten minutes. and every now and then when im sitting at idle i hear a sound of air being pushed back through my intake tube... its like in a burst and only every now and then...

Get the heads done. Send them to SSM for stage 2+ or 3 porting, springs and valves. You can put the cam in later. If you need a loan to do this, do it (if you're keeping the car for sure). Just do it. You'll be happy you did.

Be careful about what that mechanic tells you too. People will do anything for money. Get a second opinion or a back-up mechanic that you can trust.

i called the guy at SSM and he said it would be about 1450 for the stage 2+ but i dont know if that would be worth it on my 110,000 mile v6?
