Some say it makes the car more fun to drive. I have yet to order me on so i cant give you any hands on experience. Although my uncle has a mgw short throw in his cobra and comparing that to his stock shifter is like night and day.

Nooooooo. The Tri-Ax is way better than stock, but it's not the best thing in the world. My friend has one in his 03 and it is much better than that old stock one, but after getting my hands on a MGW at a car show, I was glad I didn't get the Steeda. The difference between the two is small, but enough to change my mind. The Tri-Ax is very notchy, whereas the MGW is much smoother. The MGW also has a 360 degree adjustable handle (so you can put it nearly anywhere). Their shifter, along with a Hurst T-Handle made an ENORMOUS difference.

In the end though, it is all a matter of personal preference. Your best bet is to go find people with those shifters and get a feel for them. If you can't do that, just read some of the reviews around here. You will quickly understand why people select the specific ones that they do.

I prefer the notchiness of the tri-ax, it a very solid engagement. I love mine and wouldn't use anything else.

I don't think either one is "better" I think its all about personal preference. See if you can find anyone near you with then so you can feel it for yourself or something like that.
