My Oil Gauge...
Well let me start by introducing myself.. First time here
Well I have a 1996 Ford Mustang I have had it about a year and it has 97,xxx miles on it. Well I purchased a Motorcycle back in February and since then it gets driven maybe once a week depending on the weather maybe not even that much some months. I went to drive it the other day when it was rainy looking outside and everything was fine, I replaced the battery a few weeks before starts up like a champ and everything's great.
As I head towards work, I notice that when I come to a stop at a red light my Oil gauge with start to freak out.. It will jerk a little bit and drop to Low Oil.. but the second you take off it goes right back to half way to 3/4 like it always has. Now the only thing that hits my brain is.. I need to change the oil cause it hasn't been done in awhile haven't put 3000 miles on it but cant be a bad idea to do so since it has been sitting.
My friend said some then about since the way it jerks and drops pretty quick it could be a sensor or possible some then electrical. Now I am no super mechanic I hardly know anything about cars.. I can change my oil spark plugs and normal maintenance stuff, but that's about it. My knowledge is put more so into computers.. Thanks for any advice!
