Hello,

Not real sure what the issue is with my car, I have a 3.6 V6 96 stang. Lately when its hot out (doesnt do it when its cold it seems) I'll be driving down the road and then when I press on the gas, I get nothing and the car just dies out. Doesn't shut off (has once or twice but not usually) it just sputters and idles real bad and then after I put it in park, it will catch back up and be fine for another 5-10 min. This only happens when its hot out and after ive driven it for 20-30 min. I have no clue what could be the issue, if it was the fuel pump I would think it would happen all the time? Any pointers would be great.

 

best idea would probably be start with your basics, check plugs, wires, compression, fuel rail pressure make sure there all in spec and go from there
