Thats what I've said, but he claims 3. Mine is streatable with 1.25-1.5 but I think 2 would be pushing it I can't imagine 3.

the last owner may have put higher than stock springs on it but i know it's 3 inches lower than when i got it because i used to keep my keys attached to my belt loop when i unlocked the door and now the keyhole is ~3 inches lower than it used to be. just measure how high ur keyhole is off the ground and i'll do the same

I would do more research into ESP/CP/FS classes before doing an IRS swap personally. When it comes to autocross and track racing, live axle isnt as bad as people make it out to be. Not saying IRS isnt better, that would be ridiculous. Just the 7.5 is a light rear end, especially compared to an uber heavy IRS. Do what you want, but for what you want to do, i think IRS would be money poorly spent

^my opinion

ps: Or figure out what class you qualify for(probably sm) and see what all you can do. Building a car with a general idea what class you want to run is MUCH easier than building a car and trying to fit it into a class, especially if you want to be competitive in said class. Just my $0.02 again

i want something that can compete in autoX but more importantly i want to make a car that is insanely fast around corners because i have the most fun pulling Gs in corners. right now im still in the research/deciding phase with the suspension. There's actually a guy near me selling a ford 9 inch for $200 with a 3.50 gears out of a 78 ford truck but idk if that would be wide enough or too wide even. hes also got a 8.8 for 250 but its got a 2.73 and its out of a 90GT so id have to put alot of extra cash into the 8.8 including custom offset wheels or spacers.

and moontang check ur inbox that post u made intrigues me a whole lot.
