Dont waste $$ on bbk Shorties, they don't give you and advances performance-wise, they're basically just "pretty" stock headers.

i Got my ceramics + a custom x pipe( made by dr. gas auto exhaust, that i didn't use and im trying to sell) for $200.... these threads just bring bad memories..

Brent4 do you have an exhaust vid?

I want to dyno before and after shorties because they look like they do flow a little better than stock. I just don't want to waste the money but I want to do it just to find out. Complete same exhaust just header swap and dyno before and after. I might do it one of these days. If you look at these two pictures, the stock manifolds don't really have a collector they dump into the first primary and kind of use that as a collector. The primaries are much shorter than on the BBK's which actually have a collector and keep the primaries separate. I'm not saying it would be enough to justify spending the same money as you could on lt's I just want to find out.

See what I mean....

Stock

Compare the stock manifold on the 99-04 to the headers on the 94-98. I have heard that the 94-98 headers flow just as good as BBK shortie headers.

Dont waste any money on shorties. The 94-98 headers flow just as good.

ok the best thing to do is get an off road X pipe and take 2 of the cats off if u realy have 4.
if you can afford it summitracing.com has pacesetter long tubes for $150
off road x pipe can be anywhere from 10 to 160 dollars. a universal x is cheap and since u already have dual exhaust i would suggest it. all x pipes are the same so cheaper the better. go to ebay for a universal.
the full size would be a wast of money.
the flow masters should be fine but if its still not loud enough get glass packs

I know everyone says that, but if I could afford the shorties I want to swap do a before and after dyno to actually see some results. No one has even posted a dyno of this, just shorties don't do anything so I want to actually find out for myself.

Its been said, dynoed, and driven into the ground.

Shorties don't do anything unless your making good power.
