You can drive without the hole plugged. Not recommended though. And because that way it will be completely sealed. Either way just get that hole sealed.

They have a pack of assorted plugs at most auto stores. I used one of those and rtv sealant around it and it worked fine. You NEED to plug it though.

Alright I'll try and get it done this weekend then. I had to use my car today, so I just put tape over the hole. Seemed to work lol

okay, i got the same kit as you did, i think... bbk, right?
the kit also comes with a small silver piece of metal that is made to fit snuggly into the rubber hole to plug the hole... why they have the part in two pieces idk, but all the pictures of it correctl installed have the litle metal piece covering the whole with the rubber braet around it.

Hmm I bought the 75 dollar kit, and I think were a few extra bolts left, I'll have to check it out.

The BBK kit is slighlty different from the AM one I think. I wish I would have gotten the K&N, seems like the only one that won't get seriously heat soaked.

i got the AM kit and don't have a bad heatsoak issue, mine doesnt get get high than 95-100* on a 85* day with the hood closed and at full engine temp
