Default Rod Bearing

It's bad on cylinder 6. Will it be easy to just drop the oil pan and go like that?

in order to drop the oil pan you will have to drop the whole k-member to get the oil pan off. i would suggest just yanking the engine to do it.

when i was under my car (vert) i had the k brace off and it didn't appear to have any obstructions blocking the pan from coming off

you have to keep in mind that the pan has to drop quite a ways to clear the mains and oil pickup.

yeah i know that, but when i was under mine (granted i wasnt looking to see if i had clearance, just a passing glance while working) it looked like it would fall to the ground if i removed the bolts

i just read my book and to remove the oil pan, it is infact a tiem consuming process but the only specialty tool you need is a engine support fixture, just because the engine mounts have to be unbolted
