Default Help

Hi,Im fairly new to the mustang world, andI love mine. I am sixteen and Im fixing to get a job to by parts to upgrade my 2008 v6. I was wondering if there were any good online places to learn more about cars. Things like what each part does and which parts will fit what and what combos of parts would work together. I know a pretty good bit already from magazines, but I want to learn more. any help would be appreciated.

howstuffworks.com is a GREAT place to learn...how things work...trannys, engines, suspension systems, all broken down into easy to understand explanations and diagrams. I'd start there if I were you. And if all else fails...! I also just got a V6. Lovin it.

Stick around here you'll learn alot. When I was younger I watched Horsepower TV and Musclecar on sunday mornings and learned a thing or two. If your into magazines you could check out mustangsandfastfords I believe it is.

yes they do, also since you have a s197 v6. go to some place like american muscle and get a cold air intake/tuner combo. it makes a world of difference to the 4.0

+1 on the tuner/intake combos. the tuners are fairly easy to learn and straigt forward. those two things will wake up the 4.0 just right in my opinion.

mmandff - modifiedmustangsandfastford magazine is a good one. its mostly 4.6 and 5.0 engines but the info you can learn is all along the same lines
