Default Take off tips?

WTF. lol. how the h*** do I get a good take off in my mt? I've tried everything I can think of and it always results in me jerkin up the street like a fool or stalling...like a fool. Any tips to prevent me getting owned at traffic lights by grand caravans would be greatly appreciated.

Patience and Practice. Try holding the rpms steady around 1700 rpms and slowly release the clutch all the way. As you release the clutch be sure to keep the rpms up.

My tip: rev it up to the point where the tach (RPM needle) is bouncing. Then, let the clutch out all at once. If you do it just right....they'll come right off. You did mean you wanted to take off the tires, right?

Seriously though, practice is everything. For me, I used to either barely move or squeal a good bit. It took some getting used to after mods and such, but I can accelerate smooth and steady now, or eat a ricer coming off of a street light.

Practice, more torque, better grip, lower gears among other things.

I got driving down. I can drive the thing but from a stop It takes me a second or 2 to get the clutch engaged and then I can jump on it. Guess I just have to practice and see if I can cut that down.

What i did was get the rpm to 1500 nd just look at it, and slowly let go of the clutch. Dont worry about the people behind you man, take as long as you want, give it a week or two and you'll be doing it like 2nd nature.

what I do now to just move up a little, is let go of the clutch VERY slowly by itself without any gas. anyone know if thats hurting my car btw?

Lol. It's already 2nd nature. I'm talking about a fast jump off the line. Key word fast. For some reason everyone tries to race me at lights. Mostly autos. And they always get a car length on me right at the start. Of course, as soon as I'm in gear I smoke by em but that's not the point. What I'm getting at here is I highly doubt that at the drag strip you ease off the clutch pedal at 1500 rpms to get the best start. I don't think I explained myself very well. Hopefully that will clear things up. Thanks for all help in advance.

If you have the money I think gears will be the best thing, also I don't know if theres something wrong or its the right way but on my V6 and V8 I don't need to hit the gas from a stop light to get me going, I just press the clutch release it somehow slow and it will go by itself hope it helps a bit.

Btw once the car moves then you know time to hit the gas, but reving it is a good idea as well.
