Well it was running good for a week then it threw the code and now its got a grinding sound coming from the engine.

id say remove the belt and spin water pump by hand and try to wiggle side to side, then start the car for a short time to determine accessory system or engine. no noise with belt off means engine good and it's an accessory. (also do a compression test because a clogged cat can actually burn a valve and cause major damage.)
