2001 Automatic V6 130k

The car drives perfectly normal most of the time but this has all started happening recently at random. Sometimes from sitting at a complete stop the car won't go it just revs up like it's in neutral. This has also happened when shifting into second gear it will rev up then catch all of a sudden. It never happens in any of the higher gears. I changed the fluid/filter out not too long ago (sometime after 100k) and added a little bit of Lucas to it. It is still full and doesn't smell burned or anything. Any ideas on what it could be are appreciated.

 

could be a problem with the valve body.. i.e. trans rebuild time.

Sounds like a possible bad seal on the front pump

does it rev up (500-1000) and catch? or do you have to let off the gas and then apply it again for it to catch?

 

Let off the gas and it goes into gear.
