Default White A/C panel

Anyone has changed the AC panel in a '04 stang?? I just bought the white AC panel but can't find how to remove the radio and the plastic frame around the AC. I'd appreciate if someone can give me any input.

Thanks!
djufo.

Yeah the big plastic frame around radio, ac panel and ac exits. I tried pulling off from the front and pushing from behind but is very hard...I don't wanna use too much force to not brake the piece...is there any technique to pull? or some point from where to start?

i say start from the top and work your way down, plastic feels stronger at the top of the frame. But trust me, if its anything like the plastic on the window/door switch then it'll be pretty tough to break, thats for sure. Honestly I dont see any other way of removing it other than pulling, try a flat head on the top and pry it from there maybe....??

Thanks a lot for the help bro! I'm gonna try something like that tomorrow. Yours doesn't have that same panel? I'm talking about this...

That trim sorrounding the radio, ac panel, ac exits and the three buttons including the defroster. It's a hard plastic. I'll try to pry.

Pull the plastic shifter bezel first by pulling upward from under the trim ring behind the shifter lever. You will have to disconnect the cigarette lighter plug from the back to completely remove the bezel. Then pull the center trim starting from the bottom. Do it this way and nothing should break or crack. The radio is not connected to this trim and does not need to be removed. Good luck, and the white A/C panel ought to look good.

Thanks a lot buddy!!!! that was the guide I was looking for...thanks a lot caddstang also for the help. I'll do it tomorrow. I thought installing the white face gauges was more difficult but this little panel has taken more time than that.

I made it! I just damaged a little bit the new white panel in the corner because the glue is TOO strong. I tried to pull it out a little bit to relocate it. I'm waiting fot the night to see how the lights work.

The center trim will cover some of the A/C faceplate.
