So let me get this straight, you're parents just gonna go buy you a brand new 2010 GT after you just crashed a 2002 V6?

Back when I bought my first car (00 v6 auto), and swerved to miss a deer and instead went in the ditch, my parents thought I should go buy a downgrade! Haha, so I went and talked to my banker and came home at 17 with a loan for downgraded 1996 Mustang GT, so what if it was supercharged haha...but boy, one week I got sick and missed a few days of work, and let me tell you something, having a car payment and insurance wasn't fun.

Yeah, thats a bit ridiculous....wow Why you wouldn't suck it up and wait one more year for 100more hp is beyond the though. Seriously, suck it up for a year and if you can seriously talk them into buying you a brand new mustang get the 5.0

Alright cool beans man!!! This makes you sound 100% less like a spoiled brat, haha!!! But either way, yeah if possible just find something cheap to drive for a year, like really cheap. Save up even more for a higher down payment and get the 5.0L, there's already tons of people I know that are so angry they bought a new Mustang already and missed out on this. A buddy of mine is trading in first chance he gets.

i know, but i needed a car and i was a huge brat about getting a 8 cylinder stick, so instead of buying a used car(was looking at a 2001 GT w/ 71K miles) my dad calls me up saying get over to the ford dealership and bring your college diploma ( you get like 1k off for recent college grads), he got me the showroom car and bargained the **** out of them so it was a pretty sweet deal (i think around 29k and they started at 38k lol..)

so my dad is helping me out with the payment so it was lower, but i am paying him every month as if it was the dealer.

As far as the 2011. I know! Who knows, maybe in a year I can sell/trade in my '10 GT and with the money i saved switch on over to the 5.0?

Still always gonna check out the sixxer forums though! Learned everything I know from here bc I was always obsessed with the GTs.

Do NOT get the 2010, you will be kicking yourself.
Wait just a couple short months and get the 2011 Coyote.

2010 = 315hp SOHC 4.6L
2011 = 412hp DOHC 5.0L with a 7k redline and so many other goodies.

The price went up about $1000 from this year I think, so $1000 more is well worth the extra awesomeness!

Also, sorry to hear about wrecking your car.
