Problem with clutch?? hellp?
I have a 2000 v6 mustang 5 speed manual. I've had it for about a year and a half. lately i've been noticing that when i take off from a complete stop in first gear, no matter what i do, the car shakess; not violently, but almost like it did when i first learned how to drive a stick. it doesn't shake as much if i rev it higher than i would normally, but none the less; it still shakes. at first it was just a nuisance now i'm extremely annoyed and am wondering about the well being of the clutch and the car.. it isn't my driving, or i seriously doubt it is. so any suggestions? HELPP PLEEASSEE??

yeah i would like to know also. I just replaced my oem clutch with a performance one and it does the same thing. Unless i bring it up to 1500 and then start letting the clutch out it has a little shake. Clutch slipping? or what? thanks guys

Not entirely sure but I had the same problem on mine. Do you guys have wider than factory tires on it by any chance? other than that it sounds like it may not be releasing right..could be the bearing maybe?

it's called chatter, performance clutchs do it more than stockers and im not 100% on it but i think when the factory clutch starts to chatter it's cause the the flywheel and some material burned onto it.
