Like the title says....I am now the proud owner of an sct xcal2 hand held tuner and I will be shipping to sct before the week ends. After that I will more than likely get custom tunes from Justin at vmptuning.com.

My mod list for my 2002 5spd consists of: l/t headers, o/r h pipe, flow 40's, and 3.73 gears. What are some tunes that I should look into getting?

By tune suggestions you mean like 89 octane economy tune, 91 octane performance tune. That's what I would do at least.

 

Yea that's the kind of suggestions I'm looking for.

 

Then you know my suggestions...

91 octane - straight up performance tune
89 octane - nice little bump in hp over stock but mpg the main concern.

 

Thanks for your input. Idk anywhere around me that has 91 octane its all 93 but I'll look around. Still open for input tho.

 

Oh here we have 87,89,91, and 93 everywhere. I would go 93 for performance then. I have 10% ethanol in everything here though, do you? Cause you might want to specify for your tune, idk if it matters or not.

 

Well I took a ride around town and found a few places with 93 with no ethanol in it so I'm going 93 performance 89 performance and 89 economy.
