K&N intake system will not work, but any any cone filter with a 3" opening will. I'm running stock MAF, as are most people that I know who run the windstar upper. It's worth doing but the instructions provided with the VAP kit are very confusing if it's the first time installing it. But after you install it a couple of times it's very easy to install. If you haven't deleted your EGR yet I would strongly recommend doing so with the windstar install, as it will really help clean up some of the clutter in the engine bay. The throttle body should work fine, it may cause the throttle cable geometry to be a bit off but should still work perfectly fine, just be sure to get new gaskets bc you will have gasket leaks after doing the install and you don't wanna be taking this stuff apart and having to do it multiple times only to find out your leak was from a damn gasket.

I've done the install a few times so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.
It might show me as being on 24/7 but I'm really not, I just leave my computer on 24/7 and rarely shut it down so if I don't respond quickly, it's not because I'm ignoring you.

so is it a benifit to run the 65mm bbk throttle body on the kit or is the stock one better? and do u need to use a tuner on it to fix anything?

Yes it is a nice change to have, I did it myself and love it. If you decide to delete your egr is the only time you will need a tuner. If you are not willing to do that just get a coinciding year egr mount tube and it will drop it low enough to mount. The install is very simple just have you use your brain for the most part.

even if im not looking to do anything major to the car like internals or forced induction is the windstar intake still a good upgrade to do?

That will only increase its effectiveness, only until you do any crazy boosting over 12psi is it not recommended. after that it is the f150 manifold.

There maybe but it seems illogical to me.

why, if it flows that good? Because of the material its made out of, I always wondered how much till it would break.
