couldn't really find any info on this, so just looking for some confirmation. i read that all rear calipers are the same be it gt,v6,cobra, mach 1, bullit.

so if i were to buy rear cobra calipers they would bolt right up to the factory bracket and fit on stock v6 rotor.

is this true?

Yup, the only difference is the backing plate and pads for the Cobra/Mach 1/Bullitt to clear the larger rotors, and the pads are thinner since the rotors are center vented.

You can just paint your stock calipers and they'll match.

Rear calipers are dirt cheap, I think I paid $30 for a reman pair. Went ahead and took 3 days to paint them and let them cure between coats, and slapped them on. You'd be amazed at how easy it is to miss places when your painting them, and I used hte brush on kit. I think the brush on comes out much nicer and more durable than the spray on stuff

+1 for the Brush on Dupli-color

It may be $20-25 but its worth it for the finish.

Just be careful though, if you lay it on thick they are easily chipped.

I also suggest getting a quality brush from the crafts store, its another 3-5 dollars but the crappy brush they supply falls apart quickly. Mine didnt even last 1 front brake caliper and picking the hairs off of the paint screws up the finish.
