Default T5

Anyone here know what/if anything would have to be modified/changed to use a T5 from an older GT? I know our stuff is electronic but the older stuff isn't...

Thoughts anyone?

You may need a new clutch kit depending on the splines of the input shaft. Our manuals arent really electronic, as the only electronics are the speedo and reverse sensor and those should both plug in the same.

oops my bad, you will need a whole list of parts then. I figured you where just swapping out trannys to get different gear ratios or something.

You should be able to use everything designed for the sixxer with the gt tranny, with the exception of the clutch/pressure plate, as that will have to be designed for the year gt the tranny came from.

One question answered...But I'm still trying to find out if the 5.0 bell housing will work on a 3.8... I've heard they will, but still haven't found anyone to confirm that.
