Default When do I need C.C. plates?

My wife just bought a set of M-5300-C lowering springs for her '04 v6 and we were wondering if we need to install caster/camber plates. The springs are supposed to drop it 1 1/2". Some claim this small of a drop doesnt require the plates and others do. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Depends on the car. Sometimes you can adjust it at the factory pointed enough to maintain a good street friendly camber. If not, you'll need the plates.

I have a 1.5 inch drop, and I'm right at the point where I can barley get it aligned properly without cc plates. According to my shop.

It goes from car to car, so just get it aligned and see how it comes out.

I've got my 2000 dropped 1" and the passenger side is maxed out but the driver side has plenty of room left. Just more proof that it varies from car to car

Actually, 1.5" is a pretty significant drop. 1" would be a small drop. Anything over 2" is "slammed." I'd get cc plates, especially if you plan to do any more suspension stuff. If you decide to get them, go for the Maximum Motorsports 4-bolts. They may be pricey, but it's worth it.

When I had the Roush stage 1 springs and no c/c plates, it made a considerable difference in tires life. The tires lasted for a looong time, just when they finally went, the outside was still good while the inside was showing cords like crazy. At the very least get a camber kit. They're kinda cheesy, but if your wife doesnt drive like a mad woman they should be fine.

If 2 inches of drop is "slammed", what the hell does my car qualify as? LOL speeds bumps rule my life :'(

So if I were to lower my stang as well, I wouldn't need to buy shocks and struts? Just the lowering springs, C&C Plates, and a realignment?

the shocks may start to go out faster than they would have, i recently dropped my car and im just gonna worry about getting shocks when that comes around, no clue how long it really takes for them to go bad
