Default theoretical top speed

ok i did the math for my top speed and i think i got something wrong. i got the stock 205/55/15R Tires and 15" rims, 3.44 rear gears, 0.80 fifth gear ratio, max 6000 RPM according to my math i should max at 196.7 MPH am i the only one that finds that hard to believe?

With stock 3.27 gears...

Assuming you have an 0.80(??) 5th gear top speed would be: 163mph @ 6000

with .68 5th gear you would get 193 @ 6000 rpm

Now factor on your drag coefficient and power loss, then the reality sets in.

i don't have stock gears, listed in original post 3.44 gears in the rear and 0.80 over drive gear as far as i know

In stock trim, these tanks are as aerodynamic as a brick.

Oh, and your top speed right now is 118 (speed limited in the ECU).

no it's not

if im on my "performance tune" most mechanics and performance guys that have driven it estimate 290-300 HP on motor so lets just go with 290 HP at motor(yes i know unlikely but i raced a challenger R/T on the interstate and got around him and pulled a few before we shut down), 3.44 rear gear, 0.80 overdrive, stock wheels/tires, only a few inches off the ground, tweaked suspension, and a aluminum flywheel (not sure if that helps or hurts top speed)
you think i could hit 150 before air resistance overcomes the power?

150s pushing it I think. Beyond safe as well. Where will you be doing this, airstrip?

300crank at 15% loss would put you at 255wrhp. Ever run the 1/4?

no 1/4s withen 200 miles of where i live just 1/8, and i cant get better than a 3.0 60 ft (unless i bog and then when i step on it i still spin most 1st and a good bit a second out there, apparently they don't know how to prepare a track) cause my rear end sux and i dont want to get a better rear cause im just gona get a IRS later.

that being the case i can still crack 9.9 in the 1/8 even with no traction for half track and a 3.0 60 so if i get a good rear and pull a 2.0 60 thats another second off the time there plus i wouldnt spin down the track. a mid to low 8 would seem right cause thats what a challenger R/T runs and i took one of those multiple times so it theroy i could run a mid to low 13 (i have driven other cars at track and gotten low 2.0 60' and a few times even lower along with .00* reaction times on a regular basis even a few .001 RT which is good so one of these days when i get more cash (stupid school and wanting all my money) ill get my IRS and do what i must to get to a 1/4

also im probing the minds of MF cause i dont wana run a top speed test on the interstate lol i know it takes me 10 seconds to go from about 70 -118 ish (depending on speedo accuracy, and on my fuel econ tune, have not tried it on the other one)

edit: checked... Driving directions to Cecil, GA 283 mi – about 5 hours 1 min maybe that trip will take longer than i thought
