Default 1998 System reset.

So my battery died about 1 or 2 months ago and my alarm and batteries went out. My alarm wouldn't disengage unless I unlocked my car 15 times then it would chirp so I could start my car. I took the neg cable off for 5 seconds then put it back on now the alarm is fine.

Now I cant find a solution to my blinkers.

This might be hard to picture.

I engage my blinkers and both the bulb outside and signal indicator on the dash blink usually about 2 times then just stop. Sometimes I pull the stick down and they don't go off at all. I've tried seeing if its just not engaging the sensor in the steering wheel by slowly pulling it down but it still does the same thing. The blinkers do work because the my hazards still come on and stay on. Its not a fuse and I took off the battery for 30 min last night to reset the ECU which I was told should do it but it still didn't fix it. So I'm stuck..

I'm thinking I need to reset my system. My buddy got a hold of a Honda system reset book when he worked for a customization shop and reset her system by pressing (radio) power button the #3 and pushing the odometer reset button for 3 seconds.. Or something like that. Does Ford have this? Or anyone have a book with the reset codes in it? Cause I've tried just about everything to fix it.
