Default Tint

So i am going to tint the windows on my stang, my buddy who works at a shop said he can get me a discount and will do it for $200.... I was a auto store the other day and saw the tint that you put on your self for only like $11 for a couple sheets. Is this stuff hard to do? Does it look ok? Should i take it in and get it done or try my self?

How do the people at the shop do it?

For sure on the shopping around if you paid 150...The only place really around that does it here is TintMasters, idk if you have heard of it, my buddy got his car done there for a little over $250, and i got a quote for $245ish. So i thought $200 was a score lol

Yea... my car came tinted so i didn't have to worry about it until the day the PO PO checked me out... arg! got a ticket, didn't even know it was illegal because it didn't look that dark. Yea, i was looking at shops around my place that were gonna cost over 200. But then again the South is def cheaper Tinting-Wise then the Mid-West is. I befriend a friend shortly after my Tix (what luck lol) and he only charged me the price of the tint to do. So I lucked out.

Tintmasters! Holy crap, Shane is still doing that stuff!? He's been doing cars since he was in highschool. Are you in GF???

I was gonna say $200 is a rip off, but I have NEVER seen quality like he does...NEVER. I've been to more car shows and auto events than one can count.

I had to go dig out a REALLY old pic now that I'm remembering the 'good old days' of life in ND. Most of you were in kindergarden when I had this car.

Had a big old TINTMASTERS logo across the hood. Wow how things have changed.
