Default Engine question

What I need to know is other than changing the liquids and stuff...This engine has not ran in about 2 years. Do you think it would run again or not even chance it and do an engine swap? I Think it would but this is why im here. What would keep it from running?

I would recommend priming the oil system before cranking it over. The only thing that I can think of being damaged from sitting would be some of the valvesprings- the ones that were compressed for 2 years.

the only way you can find out if it will run again is try and crank it over. Or you can get a socket and breaker bar on the crank pulley and try to see if the engine is seized. If its not seized then it should run if you have spark, fuel and air going into the engine.

Thanks, I did not think of this...a little old school but it works. I should have been doing this long ago to keep the pressure changing. Now what about freeze plugs?

unless you didn't have anti freeze in the car and the weather went under freezing point the freeze plugs should be fine you'll find out fast though if they aren't lol
