Default Susp Lowering Mod

I am getting ready to do a suspension mod. I am installing new shocks and cutting 1 coil all the way around.

What would be the approx. expected drop from this?

Cutting one entire coil will usually lower the car more than the distance you're removing, because of the static corner weight on the spring (installed). I would try a half a coil, and remember to use a cut-off wheel.

Also, make sure the ends of the springs will fit back into their perches when you're done. Post pics when you're done.

Yeah read Ryan's sticky. I think he said 3/4 coil equals about an inch. So maybe start with that.

just took a look at my brakes and i need to get them changed; so i am going to hold off on this until next weekend.

I am going to get some drilled, slotted rotors and brake pads and do it all at once!
