Window tint
I'm thinking of tinting my windows. The TA we had had some pretty dark windows on it and I miss those. But I think it was an out of state car when we got it and it's windows were darker than they should have been. Here in TN it is 35% all around. Would it even be worth it for that light of tint? Could I maybe get away with 25%? Not once did anyone say anything about the TA. What kind of price am I looking at? I'm thinking maybe $150 - $200. Also a good brand? Not high priced and not cheap as dirt. I was thinking 3M...not sure.

i think that even 35% is a good amount, its better than nothing and i was thinking about getting it for my DD. as long as the police arent too harsh on it in your area, i wouldnt worry too much about going darker. and as for the brands, im not sure on that, i just took it to a guy that does the tint and he used the stuff that he usually does, and it has held up for a year so far and no fading. im like 100% sure it wasnt 3M though.
I did 30% on my v6 all around and the law was 35% no one ever gave me trouble and 30 is actually pretty dark I liked it alot. I'm going tommorow morning to get my gt tinted going to do 30% all around again. Paid $150 for my v6 and they did a great job, the place tommorow is a tint only shop they are charging me $130.
35% won't be worth it IMO. its still very light and people can still see you as if you were tintless. you will still be getting that fish bowl feeling.
im not saying to go my route but i have 5% in the rear and 15% on the sides and its great. lol
i agree that backing up at night can be tricky, but i just stick my head out the window or use the side mirrors. ace ventura FTW! lol
i will say that you can still see fine in the rear view while driving on city roads.
i love the fact that people can't stare me down at intersections too.

I had 20% on the sides and 5% on the back; couldn't see a ANYTHING at night at the back it was terrible! So I changed it to 20% on the sides and 35% on the back; then it looked like the car wasn't even tinted. Now I have 20% on the sides and 20% on the rear and its perfect I can see clearly when im reversing now. I don't recommend 5% at all!

My friend has 20% on sides and 5% on the back of his mustang...when at the stop light he gave someone the finger but they didn't do anything so I guess they couldn't see inside.
