Park the car somewhere flat raise it and block it up so you will be able to get underneath. Let the engine completely cool and then remove the top radiator cap. Once cool get underneath with an oil pan or something and just find the drain fitting on the radiator, if i remember right its on the corner of the passenger side. You may want a hose to re-direct the gallons of coolant so you dont make a mess, i have a spare 3/8 inch hose sitting around that works great. Get the oil pan ready and remove the cap...drain. Once the radiator is drained, locate the 2 block drain plugs (couple inches above oil pan) and take those out...drain more.

Then just leave all the plugs out, and just get a hose and just spray water in the radiator and all the block drain plugs untill the water runs out clear. In your case id play it safe too and purchase some of that radiator cleaner stuff and run it though as well...

After all that flushing just drain your resivor by d/c the hose and re-attaching it.

Then just plug evreything back up with the exception of the radiator cap on top and pour in a nice 50/50 mix. now once the resivor and radiator are full turn on the car and let it run with the radiator cap off. this will kind of burp the system allowing for air to escape, also while the car is on your thermostat should open up allowing you to furthermore top off the radiator. Once all said and done shut her down and put the cap back on. Call it a day!

i would also suggest getting a cheap water temp gauge from autozone to make sure the temp your reading from the gauge cluster is correct.

Interesting, I never noticed the 94-98 v6s have 2 temp sensors?!

Oh and you may want to get a gauge to verify what your seeing as already mentioned.

One feeds the ECU, and one is for the temp gauge.
As far as i kno, thats standard on all cars

I didnt know we had 2 sensors either before this. Also, I did plan on getting a new sensor before doing anything else to conferm the reading Im getting. Those damn sensors are like $30 bucks.

My car has (1)

I'm pretty sure the 94-98s only have (1) also.

A few quick questions sorry to jack Matt just looking for on topic answers. How much coolant do our cars take when you refill the system and does anyone have any tips other than what Dave mentioned for flushing the system?

Dont know of one sensor that feeds both the ECU and the gauge.

It could feed the ecu and the ecu feeds the gauge?
