Over 2 weeks ago I ordered a Throttle Body for my V6 Stang. I ordered it from RPM. It showed in stock so I ordered it 2nd day delivery. Then I got an e-mail saying it was on back order. They said it would be 2 weeks, and they'd keep me informed if any changes happened. So I said Ok. Just get it and send it ASAP. Friday I called to check, and left a message with Chris in the back order dept. NO REPLY! I had to call again today and complain to a supervisor. She put me on with Chris, and I was informed it was still on back order. No apologies for not contacting me, or returning my call. I promptly cancelled the order. I checked with a couple of other sources, and it is on back order from them too. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE DAMN THING IN STOCK??????? I want a Throttle Body for my 03 3.8l V6 Stang! 65MM preferably.

I've never heard any bad things about RPM Outlet, and it's not really their fault that the item is on backorder, especially if all the other online retailers are looking to get it as well. There's only so many parts to go around, and they just have to wait until their order is fulfilled.

I hope you find your part soon... but it may take a while if everyone has it on backorder.

 

The thing that upset me was a lack of communication. They told me 2 weeks, and 3 weeks later I gotta complain to get someone to talk to me? I think not!

That sux to hear, you did the right thing and took your business elsewhere. Keep trying, you’re bound to find one in stock and ready to be shipped to you. Have you tried eBay?

 

no probs with rpmoutlets here either. they may have poor customer service but they have damn good prices...

Yeah, I ordered my exhaust and paid with PayPal. I was supposed to get a confirmation and a week later I call and they tell me the PayPal guy is on vacation! I was pissed they didn't call or anything either. Oh well, I'm supposed to get it tommorow...almost three weeks later!
