Default glass pack?

ok right now I have a 98 v6 mustang and it has dual flowmasters and there getting old and rusted n they dont sound the greatest, so I went to a muffler shop and he said hes installed those on a v6 stang be4 and they didnt sound that great he said the way to go is a cat back system w/ 2 19in glass packs and he would install it for $220. any1 ever done this be4? im not looking to gain any power, just more of a deeper louder sound

also im saving up for a procharger right now, but ive seen so many different post on how u can run it w/ stock internals and gears and others saying that you have to change everything out? I wouldnt be turning it way up, just running it at the 11psi, so what do i really have to do?

I don't like glasspacks at all unless it's an old farm trunk. They're annoying.

question about those mufflers

Originally I was leaning towards a true dual flow exhaust cuz it looked good and sounded good...

BUT, I dont have the money to buy the H-Pipe pace setter, dual cats, and exhaust as well as get it installed.

Thing is, I still wanna sound good, so with factory piping will this muffler sound good? And those mufflers are cheap as **** (I mean in price, not in performance).

if you are talking about the force mufflers, they are a great buy. they sound better than flow super 40's and are made the same way and will last just as long.

i have 2 on order to replace my aging 40's.

i have heard them on a V8 and they sound awsome. better than the flows but still resemblng the flows.

great buy in my opinion

go to http://www.stangparts.com/home.cfm?s...products/index

page 4 of induction and exhaust for the pace setter dual conversion. it's only $115

if you can't afford that then just save up to mod the stang

install should be about $100 tops

2 force mufflers for $70,$115 for the conversion H-pipe and $100 for the install

good price IMO

i paide about twice that for my setup. (because i modded my stang when it wasn't popular to mod the V6)

IMHO get GT take offs and add the force mufflers
