What is the difference between the regular aftermarket headers and the ported ones and how much hp could i get out of each one

 

i didnt know there was much of a difference between ported headers and regular shorty headers, maybe a few extra HP on the ported. As to the HP you'll gain, it all depends on what all other bolts ons you've got. If you've got a true dual, hi-flow exhaust system with a K&N air intake, you'll prolly gain 12-17 HP and you'll get a throaty, more powerful sound. It wont be considerably louder, but it will be deeper. If you've got nothing and you're just sticking some headers on, i think it'll be closer to like 5-12 HP gain.


however, im no expert, im still a car newbie so i could be wrong!!!
