Default P/P lower intake

im not looking to go all out with my motor build and putting the car down for a while but i just wanna add alittle hp without doing anything too drastic i was thinking about doing a P/P lower intake from super six, i have already have a windstar intake i thought maybe the lower intake would be a pretty good add on to it , i know i wont get as much HP from it if i would build the motor but would this be good to do? and would just doing the lower intake have any bad side effects or cause any damage ?? also other parts i was wondering the same thing about was next size up fuel injecters? MAF? any other suggestions on upgrades ??.... or maybe should i just suck it up and do the cam and heads as well?

Might as well do the cam while you have the lower off. No need to worry about the heads, gasket match to the lower at least.

You will see a nice power gain from cam/ported lower and windstar. Arent you also putting LT's on?

The cam will gain more with the heads obviously but the heads are very expensive and the windstar and ported lower are not that expensive. You can get 240rwhp out of windstar ported lower cam longtubes and a tune.

Really!?, do u think it would cause any stress or damage to the engine without the heads being done?

No. The cam is more of a bottleneck on our cars than the heads. Like I said, at least gasket match the heads to the lower intake.

With gasket matched heads and the right cam/tune I see no problem reaching 250 to the wheels based on other setups.

Go for it! I recently added the Windstar upper and SSMS ported lower at the same time and I love it!

It was $450 from SSMS, but that combination is probably the best we can do on our cars N/A. I'm in the process of trying to figure out my next move (cam or LTs).
