Default speedo issue

so my speedo and odometer don't work
i replaced the speed sensor and tranny gear which was all chewed up and still nothing
i also took my cluster out and looked at all the small gears back there and they all seemed to be good so im at a dead end with ideas here
i could always get a new cluster and hope that was the problem but i don't want to spend the money not knowing its that

usually it's only one or 2 teeth missing from the speedo head gear, do a search for it, there's a very cheap kit to fix it.

he means the gears behind the cluster... you might have to pop them out to see the broken teeth.

not sure if my 94 has a cable, idk my mechanic replaced the sensor n gear and told me i have power going to the cluster now and i told him i would take it from there
i looked at the gears in the gauge cluster and they looked ok but i'll take them out and carefully inspect them, i only didnt b/c i thought they had to do with just the odometer and both my speedometer n odo dont work

Check your VSS. I think I have the same problem. If it's not the sensor it could be the wires leading to the sensor.

Vehicle Speed Sensor. It's what your speedo gear sits on. I changed my gear, checked my cluster, checked all fuses, and replaced the sensor itself, no go. So I've got to check the wires leading to the sensor's harness, I may have messed them up when I tried to instell my Dallas SpeedCal.
