MOTHERF***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My car isn't even a year old yet! I bought it NEW from the lot last September. Well, it broke down yesterday morning. The A/C compressor broke and the liquid line is broken too. Has anyone else had similar problems with a fairly new car? I thought Mustangs were supposed to be reliable compared to most other Fords.
This really sucks, but luckily the warranty will cover it. I had a Neon (yes a POS NEON, 4 cylinder, 99 model, first car) before I got the 04 Stang, and the Neon NEVER broke down despite being used. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mustang and I never want to get rid of it, but this is ridiculous. The samn thing doesn't even have 15,000 miles on it yet!

Remember it's a fairly complex machine with many components, and parts will break sometimes due to unseen faults in metal or plastic. As long as the major drivetrain components hold up well there is something good to be said about the quality of a car.
Babygurl, yes it is a warranty item (at least that's what they told me, so I'm gonna hold 'em to it). I figured it would be since the compressor is one of the components that the serpentine belt runs through... so if it messes up, so does a bunch of other crap. Anyway, I'll find out in about an hour. The car's ready for pickup.
Dagger, I know what you mean by that too. While my car's been in the shop, I've been driving my girlfriend's 96 V6 Stang and I was at an intersection and the brakes did not work. This just happened yesterday actually. I had to pull the emergency brake. I took it back to the house and bled the brakes. It's been working much better. She just had them replaced a month ago and she went to the dealer and complained and they told her that the brakes were fine. I think they forgot to bleed them when they replaced them. I told her that if it happens again, or if I didn't bleed them enough and something happens, and they tell her that the brakes are "fine".... then she should rear end me on the street (I want a GT bumper for my exhaust anyway) and sue their asses.
