i have no mechanical experience with cars and i wanted to know if i could replace headers and full exhausts, i dont have any parts yet but im planning on getting them and i want to do it myself my dad dosent haveany experience either but he is willing to help me,oh an if you could recommend any parts for me that would be great. thanks
well i'm pretty sure that you can do it but it may take a while, i mean everything is help in with bolts and all you have to do is take the bolts off and remove the ehaust, now you say you have no experience, do you mean little or really none.

You will need a prybar, torque wrench, 6 point sockets (less likely than 12pt sockets at rounding the heads of the bolts/nuts) Thread Loc, a dead-blow hammer, WD-40, Header Gaskets (if not included with the headers), Exhaust Flange Gaskets (if not included in the exhaust kit), and probably some new Exhaust hangers (you can always return them if you didn't need them after install).
Last but not least a Haynes manual for your year car. It will have all the torque specs, and instructions on 'how-to'. The WD-40 will come in handy to break loose the rusted/heat stuck nuts and bolts as well as the joints where things are bolted together on the exhaust. The pry bar will come in handy at seperating the exhaust manifold and exhaust flanges if stuck together along with the dead-blow hammer. The Thread-loc will help to keep things from loosing up after they've expanded and contracted a few times (in otherwords getting that annoying exhaust leak two weeks after you've finished the job)
Good luck!
wd40 you will definatly need
I think i used about 5 cans on mine. Pick up alot of spare fasterners also cause if there rusted in they tend to break while removing. Make sure to get header gaskets cause you dont wanna reuse the old ones and be extremely carefull taking the header bolts off cause if you break a header bolt coming out of the block your gonna have some issues you dont wanna deal with. Otherwise I did my own with basic knowledge of pipe work so good luck have fun and when you get frustrated make sure to throw the wrench away from the car
