Default Restore Shine to Vinyl

I feel like an idiot.

I decided to scrub my interior (tan) because it was getting dingy. Put some oil soap in a bucket with a sponge and started scrubbing. All was good until i hit a particularly dirty spot on my steering wheel. I used the abrasive side of the sponge (that's where I messed up), and it seemed like it was working, but it really just wore through the shiny vinyl and now in that spot it just looks and feels flat and sticky. Any way i can bring back the vinyl feel to the steering wheel? Or is it just not worth it?

You probably took the top layer off and you're feeling the padding of the wheel.

I don't doubt it. Any way to restore the texture or is it something I'll just have to live with?

You'll probably have to live with it or get a new wheel. Mine is starting to do it a very little bit at the top from the sun.

Makes sense, it's not that huge of a deal. Thanks for the heads up, at least it's clean, lol.
