Question Autostick Install? HELP

Hey I am new on the forum and I have a 1994 3.8 auto and was wondering if there was any way to install an Autostick or Slapstick whatever you want to call it. Is it possible? What would I need? price estimate? Thank you MUCH

Hello, and welcome to the board. I speculate that you mean a "ratchet shifter" or hammer shifter in laymans terms. Check your PM box.

I wasn't sure what he wants. But I like what you have. Could you share some info with me about it? Thanks.

Thank you for the reply. This is what I am thinking. the (+ -) to choose my shift points. the picture is on some random car just for an example. Do you think there is any way to do this? Is it feasable? Thank you!

Unless you have a HUGE pocket book (which I'm guessing you don't since you bought a '94 V6 Mustang), it's not something you can do.

I suggest learning to drive a stick, and swapping in a 5 speed.

I have never used a hammer shifter. Are they expensive? Will it do what I am looking for?

no it won't, for what you want you need a new transmission that is computerized as well as having a custom one off adapter plate prototyped and made to mount a transmission to to a engine that was never designed to fit. probably have to have the car's computer reprogrammed to. if you want a manual shift, just get a real manual.

Thats kind of what I figured. I can drive stick, I just got this car for a good deal and needed to go through a dealer where at the time none of them had any 5 or 6 speeds in my budget so I compromised. Thank you though
