Default Part-out value?

Hey guys, so we blew a head gasket and am not sure what to do with the car. Someone told us it would be around $800. The whole car cost me about $2200 about a year ago.

Its a 1995 Mustang V3 3.8L Automatic. Maybe a $1000 if lucky?

KBB for that car is around 1500 in fair condition, 1000 would be really pushing it for it with a blown head gasket. I would say 500 - 800 maybe.

You could try to fix it yourself. No more than $200 in parts if the heads don't need work. But it's way more work than an oil change. So if your not mechanically inclined or you don't know anybody who is then you may not want to mess with it. But you'll need that same kind of know how to part it out. Either way good luck.

It's all in the balancing lol

Yeah for no more than $400 you should be able to do the whole repair, with Ford aprts, which I recommend, maybe $600 if you have ZERO tools
