Default Newbie Here..

Last week I purchased a 2000 V6 convertible. While I am not new to modding cars I am new to modding a Mustang. I will be the first to admit..I know nothing about them. I know that exhaust and a CAI are good place to start, but I don't know where to look and who has the best prices. So if you guys could lead the way I'd appreciate the help.

Oh yeah..and if someone has a set of wheels they are looking to get rid off..LMK. I hate my stockers..lol.

i refer to those 2 sites for products, then i look around and always find a better deal (no bashing to sponsors). internet sales is a highly competitive and lucrative business and there is always someone else out there with a better deal. exhaust and intake are always a good start, then you can move on to some actual engine mods and hopefully you would consider something from www.supersixmotorsports.com b/c they have awesome kits out there to make your car beat a GT N/A and then you can supercharge, which i recommend as well. welcome to the boards, and good luck with your stang

welcome!

the other posts seem to have answered your questions. I've had good customer service with the Mustang Tuning folks, although all their stuff isnt specifically for V6's. I've got close to 70k on my 2000 v6 and every time i get a check up on the car the grease monkies always say it's running great. Again welcome

The cheapest of all the online mustang sites is rpmoutlet.com. The first thing I would do to your car is add a CAI, then replace your stock 70mm mass air meter port with a 73mm port, put in a high flow throttle body, add underdrive pulleys, and consider a dual exhaust system. These are all bolt on items and are relativly cheap at rpmoutlet.com, get your CAI off of ebay, check feedback before purchasing because some units don't fit correctly, but most are good. The last thing is to consider a diablo motosport ecu reprogrammer, these help out a lot when redoing the engine.
