battery light..

Default battery light..

when i red line in 1st gear my battery light flashes and also when i rev in 5th gear when im on the freeway my battery light flashes.

any suggestion why that would happen?

Over charging or under charging perhaps.
Check your cables of course like was mentioned, clean the posts.

You can have your alt checked at AutoZone.

Lots of charging issues this time of year, usually linked to a failing bat.

And when you redline, dont forget the fact that your engine pretty much goes ape**** and shakes so maybe something is loose?.... well mine does... lol though i rarely redline it.

Under 3k rpm shifting and saving gas ftw.

Its the regulator trying not to burn out diodes. I was heading somewhere and punched it once, but didn't realize it was wet in that ONE spot, so I over-revved and burnt mine up. It was only 4 days old.
