An 04 with 50K could be worth up to 9K but would be lucky to sell for 6K.

Default engine swap/build

I sold my 98 gt before deployment, and im currently deployed in iraq, i love the look of the 94-98 especially the 98 cobra... Any idea how possible it would be to take say a 94 v6, swap the engine for a 306x or 331 and put 98 cobra front bumper and hood? would this be cheaper or easier than buying a 98 cobra and swapin the engine? im lookin to do fulll suspension and brake upgrades to make it a mean daily driver.

NYS might give you some crap about that swap, check with your local laws about swapping.

For what its worth, I would rather have the Cobra right out of the gate.
If you still wanted to swap then an 03/04 Cobra swap would be a good option or just buying a crate motor.

Heck you could even drop the new 5.0L in there with a Roush TVS blower on top.

Really what it all comes down to is:
1.) State Laws
2.) Budget
3.) Will and ability

budget is always a concern, i dont know any of the laws for ny in regards to that, i think theyre pretty leniant, and i was thinkin convert a 99-04 V6 into a terminator, might be cheaper than buying a terminator?
idk i was thinkin as far as engine options the X302 Crate 340hp n/a stock, which is perfect..all id need is intake and full exhaust, maybe a tune. just weighing what would be the cheaper, more practical option.

If you want to put that motor in the car get a 94/95 GT and do the work, way too many secondary parts that's needed.

Umm....yeah!!! You'd need a donor car (like a wrecked GT) if you wanted to use the V6. Put it this way, the only thing that's the same between a V6 and the 5.0 is the basic body itself, the internals (suspension, motor, transmission, rear end, wiring harness) everything is different. Only way it's worth it is if you have a boat load of cash and you're using the V6 as a base model and building up from scratch, like all new 94/95 parts and even then you may need a donor car.

Off topic but if you want a good building block 5.0 I'll sell you mine, most everything is new, all you'd need to do is do the motor work you want and I'd recommend beefing up to a better transmission even though mine is new and you're done. The breaks, rear end, suspension, all the work is done on my car. I can sell it supercharged or N/A at this point, but I'm asking for the value of the supercharger plus the car, I'll knock off $500 with the S/C as opposed to it being sold separately, and an 11 PSI Kenne Bell on a 306 stroker block with a Steeda #19 cam (everything else is done on my motor that you'd want) would make around 450-475 rwhp and would still be quite streetable. Or you could leave the stock cam in and sit around 420 rwhp and be more so streetable.
